High fibre red smoothie

Runsaskuituinen punainen smoothie

Ingredients 

200g raspberries, fresh or frozen

1 small green or semi-green banana 

1 red beetroot (raw or cooked) 

2 tsp chia seeds 

1 tbsp raw almonds

3 tbsp organic gluten free oats 

250-300ml water or unsweetened almond milk 

1 tsp Mct oil    

1 piece of ginger 

                                    

= Approx 20 g fibre 

 

Health benefits 

This is a high fibre nutritious smoothie where one portion gives you around half of recommended daily intake of fibre. Perfect for breakfast or as an afternoon snack. Chia seeds contain approx 2g fibre per tsp (5g) so a very easy way to upgrade daily fibre intake by sprinkling it on salads, any other food or adding to smoothies etc.
